raise the curtains high and watch as they perform
wooden men on strings a struggle to conform
the craftsman never planned to build them in this way
allowing other puppets to cast them in their plays
it's hard without direction they seek to find their cues
by imitating others still equally confused
but their confidence convinces until the master moves his hand
to replace the misfit players that exclude him from their plans
we're far too content complacent
we must replace our doubts with commitment
